As far back as I can remember, I loved the idea of working for myself.
I am a classic, serial entrepreneur.
I started my first “business” when I was just 8 years old by launching “The Teddy Bear Gazette,” which was, of course, a South Florida neighborhood newspaper dedicated to hard-hitting news told from a teddy bear’s point of view.
We sold out of our first edition, and I moved on to greener pastures.
I’ve started (and considered starting) many other businesses since that flagship startup…with varying levels of success and failure.
Along the way, I’ve learned a lot about what it really takes to start and run a business.
Do you daydream about starting your own business?
